Some people think that the government is wasting money on the arts and that this money could be better spent elsewhere To what extent do you agree with this view.

A lot of people believe that investing in arts is not fruitful and it’s a waste of money which can be utilized in the other sectors and could be more beneficial. I completely disagree with it and believe that art is very important and need to be promoted as equivalent as any other field.

Art helps in understand the history and cultures across the generations, art has been part of almost every culture from centuries in addition to that art also provide the uncompromised information as it does not change its meaning if looked across the cultures, language and region for instance  by analyzing the art from older civilizations like hadaapa and mohan jo daro revile that they used to save rain water and filter it for the drinking purpose and there main source for food was hunting.

As per a recent survey the creativity has declined by almost 32% and it connect to less interest in art. Art has been always connected to creativity and innovation for instance listening to specific music can make you feel happy or sad because it connects emotionally similarly and painting can explain the thoughts which is not possible to be explain by a whole book therefore keeping the art alive is important.

It is true that world has more pressing issues which need more attention in those sectors, but it is also very important to understand that art is not being compromised as an effect therefor government should allocate adequate amount for arts so that the creativity and our connection to history is alive.
